ABOUT THE SESSION

  • HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The session itself is FREE of charge.

After having seen the preview of the shots, you have 3 working DAYS (if you need longer, contact me) to say how many pictures you want and conclude the payment. However, you have unlimited time to choose which pictures you'd like and you have always time to add pictures to your first order, in case you realise you want more of them.

The only price you will be charged for is for the headshots that you want.

How many headshots and how much you're going to spend is entirely down to you, and it will also depend on whether you'd come to my studio, outdoor or if you're a returning customer. In studio, I charge £45 per chosen picture, whilst outdoor is £40. More info about this on Plans & Pricing.

  • WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STUDIO AND OUTDOOR PICTURES?

Although I tend to prefer the natural light, London is not famous for its reliable weather. Taking a picture in studio means that we can manage the light and we'd have no wind or traffic to bother us. Also, you'd be able to change comfortably your outfits in the bathroom, have time to retouch your make-up, feel warm and cozy and have a nice cup of tea/coffee always handy.

  • WHY THIS WEIRD SYSTEM?

I believe that relaxation allows creativity and comfort, which is key for a great session. Also, financial and time pressure are a big enemy.

Actors (including myself) are often a bit itchy about having their headshots taken. It can feel draining and very exposing, and we end up with pictures that "don't look like me".

My aim is to make it fun and allow your personality to come out.

My job is to capture your essence in the pictures, so that casting directors will see that you're the right person for the job.

  • HOW LONG IS THE SESSION?

Usually between two and three hours. We leave when we're happy with what we have!

  • WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

You're always most welcome to consult me privately before a session and send me pictures of the clothes you'd like to bring. Generally speaking though, I'd avoid any bright white clothes and especially clothes with patterns that are very distracting. The simpler, the better! Remember these are pictures of YOU, not of your pretty clothes.

In fact, a plain T-shirt could do the job better than a fancy dress for what we're looking for. I'd go for two-three outfits that are neutral/quite like you and others that are generic casting types that you could be auditioning for (police officer, office worker, urban, etc.)

Regarding the make-up, I'd suggest as little as you can. The make-up that looks great for a Friday night wouldn't look the same behind the lens (especially foundation!). If you want to use foundation, make sure you use a "photography" one: the difference is that it'd reflect the light instead of absorbing it.
Having said so, do anything that makes you feel COMFORTABLE in front of the lens.

  • WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE SHOOTING?

I work in my studio in Angel.

Whenever possible, I like to have a cup of coffee with my clients just before the shooting to get to know my clients and see what they'd like from the session. Being photographed for hours can be exhausting and it's ideal that we're both relaxed and at ease with each other.

I'm not time-obsessed: we stop shooting until we're both satisfied with the work done! Usually it takes a couple of hours, it really depends on how much we chat and how many outfits you want to use.

  • WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN TERMS OF COVID?

I am triple-vaccinated (Pfizer), I had Omicron over Christmas and I test regularly (twice a week). If you feel more comfortable to keep the windows open and you'd like me to wear a mask, I'm more than happy to do that.

  • WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SHOOTING?

You will only need to check a new page on my website, named after you and protected by a private password, where you can see a medium quality preview of all the shots; having had a look, let me know within THREE working days how many you'd like to have and send the payment. After that, you only need to choose your pictures telling me the file names and I will edit them within three working days.

  • CAN I LEAVE A REVIEW?

Absolutely! You can leave me a review here https://g.co/kgs/NZ5L7a and I will add it to the website.
